Two-Way: Race and the Oscars, A Look At What’s To Come


The 89th Academy Awards is this Sunday night. That means it’s been a full year since the hashtag #oscarssowhite highlighted the lack of diversity among the nominees. But things are definitely different this time around. A record number of black actors are nominated. Convincing Hollywood that diverse stories are worth spending money on is going to take a little bit more work. Eric Deggans is the first full time TV critic at NPR. Pia Peterson asked him about what he thought of this years Oscar nominations.
