KATIE: Last month a terrorist group, Boko Haram, kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls in northeast Nigeria. And the country’s people are growing more impatient with the government’s weak response to the mass abduction.
PIERRE: I spoke with Frankie Edozien, who’s a Nigerian-born journalist teaching at NYU. He blames the country’s president, Goodluck Jonathan, for failing to act. He also points to other factors, like the region’s isolation, and a general distrust in the Nigerian military.
