The statute of limitations on prosecuting cases of child abuse has been extended in New York state through the new Child Abuse Act. Survivors used to have until age 23 to file a criminal lawsuit against their abusers. Now they have until they turn 28. Reporter Andrea Salcedo spoke with John Manly, the attorney who represented more than 100 victims in the Larry Nassar scandal. Nassar was the U.S. Gymnastics and Michigan State physician sentenced last year for sexually abusing girls and women over the last two decades.
