A Year After The Boston Bombing, Runners Race and Reflect

Thirty six thousand runners will line the streets of Boston to run on Marathon Monday — one year after three people died and over 250 were injured in a bombing at the finish line.

Security will be tight. Crowds are expected to be bigger than ever.

Psychologist Monica O’Neal lives in Boston. She says on the anniversary of such a traumatic event, racers may be running to heal their trauma. She talked about some of the feelings runners may be having as they approach the starting line.
