During Nation Consumer Protection Week Governor Cuomo just announced a new initiative to educate consumers about the risks of personal information online. As a first step, the state division of consumers’ protection published an analysis of Venmo’s privacy policy. Doc Searls is the editor in chief of technology magazine Linux Journal and director of Project VRM at Harvard University, a project that has the goal to empower customers in the marketplace. He joined us this morning to discuss the Governor’s new initiative.
