Can Gov. Cuomo and Business Leaders Save New York’s Relationship with Amazon?


HOST INTRO: Tech company Amazon broke up with Long Island City on Valentine’s Day. But some New Yorkers, including Governor Andrew Cuomo, are still trying to salvage the relationship.

For the past two weeks, Cuomo has been calling Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to try to woo back HQ2, the New York Times reported yesterday. And community groups and politicians signed an open letter to tell the company they’re still interested. NYU business professor Ari Ginsberg has been analyzing the deal since it was first announced. We spoke about the chances of a reunion.
