The White House is defending an agreement with Iran as the House gets ready to vote on a legislation to finalize the Iran deal.  Charlotte Gibson reports.

Leif Larson ambassador from Norway and Domingo D. Lucenario Jr, ambassador from the Phillippines to Pakistan and six others were killed today in a helicopter crash in the Naltar Valley of Pakistan. Meanwhile the Ambassador from Poland and the Dutch ambassador suffered injuries.  The ambassadors were headed to an inauguration of a newly installed chairlift at a ski resort to promote tourism in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

Saudi Arabia announced a ceasefire today that will halt air strikes in Yemen. The ceasefire will start on Tuesday, May 12th. Saudi-Arabia officals said airstrikes have done little to stop the rebel group the Houthis. The minister, Adel al-Jubeir said the ceasefire is a trial and success will depend on Houthis coperation.  The Saudi led coalition bombing began in Yemen two months ago.

Barrack Obama was promoting his Trans-Pacific Trade Agreement at the Nike Headquarters in Beverton, Oregon pushing for a free trade agreement. The trade deal with focus on a Trans-Pacific Partnership.

OBAMA: (00:20): If you’re a country that wants in to this agreement you have to meet higher standards. If you don’t, you’re out. And this deal will strengthen our hands overseas by giving us tools to open other markets to our goods and services to make sure they play by the fair rules we help write. The truth is we have one of the most open markets in the world folks are already selling stuff here, we got to be able to sell stuff there.

President Obama said the agreement would create a trade relationship with 12 nations.

After deliberating for more than 3-weeks a judge has declared a mistrial after a jury could not agree if 54-year Pedro Hernendez killed Etan Patz trial.

And, a zoo in Japan has apologized for naming a baby monkey Charlotte after the new British Princess following complaints from the Japanese public.
